Your raffle goes live and you have access to your admin dashboard, ticket reports, and drawing tools. We stay available at 813-699-9325 for the life of your raffle. Questions about hybrid sales, drawing procedures, or anything else — we pick up.

Pick the pricing structure that fits your fundraiser.

You do not need to sort this out alone. The important part is that both models are transparent and built to protect completed purchases better than tip-based “free” platforms.
Zero Fee
$0, Zero, Zilch, Nada
  • CheckmarkSupporters see a fixed 12% service charge before purchase.
  • CheckmarkYour organization pays nothing upfront.
  • CheckmarkUsually best for raffles under about $5,000.
  • CheckmarkCleaner than tip-based checkouts that create decision friction.

Simple version: You avoid upfront cost and keep setup easy, without using a guilt-based tip model that hurts completion rates.

Checkout friction kills fundraisers.
Here’s what the numbers actually say.

The biggest factor in your raffle’s total revenue isn’t your prize or your marketing — it’s how many people abandon the checkout before they complete their ticket purchase. “Free” tip-based platforms lose 30–40% of buyers at checkout. That’s not a rounding error. That’s your mission walking out the door.

~1–2%

Abandonment with Chance2Win’s transparent, fixed-fee checkout

30–40%

Abandonment with tip-based “free” platforms (Zeffy, RallyUp) at 17–29% prompts

Abandonment baseline data: Baymard Institute (unexpected costs); C2W internal data. Tip prompt ranges sourced from platform checkout analysis. See our Zeffy comparison →

Checkout Abandonment by Pricing Model
Chance2Win Premium (8% optional) ~0%
Chance2Win Zero Fee (12% fixed, disclosed) 1–2%
Undisclosed fees ~11–14% ~15%
Tip prompt ~15% (low-pressure audiences) ~25%
Tip prompt 17–29% (Zeffy, RallyUp default) 30–40%
The decision point isn't the fee. It's that the tip prompt creates an unexpected cost at the last step — which triggers abandonment at 48% for unexpected costs (Baymard Institute, corroborated by eMarketer 2024, Contentsquare 2025).

The “free” raffle that cost a nonprofit $50,000

This is a real call. We share it because the lesson matters — and because it’s the exact situation that Chance2Win’s pre-launch review process exists to prevent.

WHAT HAPPENED
They sold a large number of tickets but discovered the raffle structure had serious legal and compliance problems. The prize was a house. They couldn't legally transfer the property the way the raffle had been structured. The raffle had to be cancelled. Every ticket had to be refunded. The "free" platform had no refund management tools, so they processed every refund manually — still paying credit card processing fees the whole time.

Total loss: roughly $50,000 in fees.
CALLER
"So... how does your system handle compliance and tracking? And what about refunds if needed?"
THE END OF THE STORY
They came back. This time, for an SUV instead of a house. With a proper structure and our pre-launch review process in place, that raffle raised roughly $200,000.
THE REAL COST OF "FREE"
A platform fee is a known, predictable cost. A compliance failure is not. $50,000 in refund processing fees on a raffle they couldn't run — all because the "free" platform had no review process and no one to call.
WHAT CHANCE2WIN DOES DIFFERENTLY
Every raffle goes through a review before tickets go on sale. That review requires real staff and real support — which is why we're not free. It's also why our customers don't have stories like Mark's.

We built the only platform that supports all of them.

Most platforms support one or two raffle formats. We built every format nonprofits actually use — from simple online ticket sales to complex multi-pool basket events. Choose yours to learn more.

A gentleman called us about running a small fundraiser for children in need. He was incredibly humble — they run their charity through a small church in a worn-down little town. They were planning a Fourth of July picnic and hoped the raffle might raise a few thousand dollars for the kids they support.
Then the raffle launched. Supporters started sharing it. Orders came in from outside the town, then outside the state, then from all across the country. Ticket bundles drove the average order size dramatically higher. The final number was nearly impossible to believe.
Over the years we've seen fundraisers run by NFL players and celebrities who promised to raise millions. Many of them raised a tiny fraction of what this little church raised. The difference usually isn't fame. It's belief in the cause — and the right structure to let that belief spread.
The lesson: When strong community support, authentic missions, and effective raffle structure come together, even a small-town organization can generate extraordinary results. The platform's job is to get out of the way and let your cause do the work. That's what we built this for. Download the free Raffle Mastery guide →
“Working with Chance2Win was a pleasurable experience from start to finish. They patiently assisted our non-profit as we developed our raffle pages, easily implemented changes when requested, and even helped us extend our end date as a result of COVID-19. I highly recommend Chance2Win.”

Frequently Asked Questions

K
L

How long does it take to get my raffle live?

Most raffle websites are built and live within one business day once your organization is approved and your raffle details are submitted. The approval step verifies your 501(c)(3) status through the IRS — that's the step that protects your organization and ours. You'll need a connected payment processor account before tickets can go on sale. If you already have Stripe, Square, or Authorize.net set up, that part is fast.
K
L

Do I need technical skills or a developer?

No. You need to be able to upload a photo and type in your raffle details — that's it. We build the site. Our team handles the setup, not you. Once you're live, the admin dashboard is straightforward and we're on the phone if anything ever looks confusing.
K
L

What's the difference between Zero Fee and Premium?

Both plans are free to your organization in the sense that you never write us a check before you raise money. The difference is who pays the platform cost and how. With Zero Fee, a fixed 12% service fee is added at checkout and paid by your supporters — it's fully disclosed, not a hidden tip. With Premium, your organization pays a flat platform fee ($329 to start) and has the option to pass an 8% charge to supporters — but if you do, that money goes entirely to your organization, not to us. Premium also unlocks Square and Authorize.net. Full details at our pricing page →

K
L

Can we accept cash and check ticket sales alongside online orders?

Yes — and this is a genuine differentiator. Chance2Win supports hybrid raffles where cash sales, check payments, and online purchases all flow into the same unified drawing pool. This means every ticket buyer, regardless of how they paid, has an equal chance at the draw. No other major raffle platform does this correctly. Competitors support card-present Stripe Terminal, but they have no mechanism for entering cash or check sales.

K
L

Can we run a basket raffle with Chance2Win?

Yes — true basket raffles with multi-pool ticket allocation are one of Chance2Win's core capabilities. Buyers purchase a ticket balance and distribute their tickets across prize baskets. Premium baskets can require 2 or 5 tickets per entry, auto-deducted from the buyer's balance. You get three drawing methods: digital random draw, printable ticket sheets (with buyer name, email, and ticket number printed), or CSV export. Full basket raffle details →

K
L

What payment processors do you support?

Chance2Win supports Stripe, Square, and Authorize.net. Zero Fee works with Stripe only. Premium unlocks all three. This matters for two reasons: (1) some organizations already have Square or Authorize.net accounts and don't want to set up a new processor, and (2) certain restricted prizes — like firearms or wine — may require a processor that allows those transactions, which Stripe sometimes doesn't.

K
L

Is there a contract or long-term commitment?

No contracts. Each raffle is priced as a standalone event. You pay for the raffle you're running, not a monthly subscription to an app you use twice a year. If you run multiple raffles annually, we work with you on an ongoing basis — but there's never a commitment required.
K
L

What if we're not sure our state allows online raffles?

We're not attorneys and we don't provide legal advice — but we do know where the common compliance friction points are. Some states (including Colorado and Kentucky) require certified electronic drawings for certain raffle types; we offer a printable paper ticket mode as a compliance-aware workaround for those situations. We'll flag any concerns during your onboarding review. For a general overview, see our raffle laws by state guide → — and always consult your local gaming authority or a licensed attorney before launching.
