Refund Policy

Bought raffle tickets from a nonprofit on a Chance2Win site? Here’s who handles refunds, when they happen, and how to reach the organization. It’ll take two minutes to read.

The short version

Ticket purchases are final. The nonprofit handles any refund.

Each organization posts its own refund policy on its raffle site. The standard policy on Chance2Win sites is simple: raffle ticket purchases are final. A charity raffle is a way to support a cause, and the prize is a thank-you on top. Not winning, or changing your mind after the drawing, isn’t a reason for a refund.

The nonprofit runs the raffle. Chance2Win builds and supports the website the organization uses to run its own raffle. Your payment went to the organization’s own merchant account, not to us, so only the organization can send money back to you.

When it applies

When a refund can happen

Refunded

The raffle is cancelled

If the organization can’t hold the drawing, it handles refunds for the tickets it sold.

Organization decides

Something went wrong with your order

Each raffle has its own official rules on the raffle page. The organization decides what happens next under those rules.

✓
If you’re refunded, the service charge is too. When the organization refunds your tickets, the service charge you paid at checkout comes back along with them. You won’t be left paying a charge on tickets you no longer have.
#
Refunded tickets leave the drawing. A refunded ticket comes out of the drawing and its number goes back into the pool, so a refunded ticket can’t win.
Step by step

How to contact the organization

Find their contact details

They’re on the raffle page where you bought your tickets and in your confirmation email.

Have your order details ready

Your name, the email you used at checkout, and your ticket numbers from your confirmation email.

Keep it short

Say what happened in a sentence or two. That gets you an answer faster.

Timing

How long a refund takes

Once the organization issues a refund, your bank or card issuer controls how long it takes to show up on your statement. If it’s been a while, check with your card issuer, since the refund has already left the organization’s hands.

!
Please contact the organization before disputing a charge. A chargeback through your bank takes longer than talking to the organization, and it costs the nonprofit fees on top of the money returned. That’s money that was meant for the cause you were supporting.
Our role

What Chance2Win can and can’t do

We don’t run raffles. We provide the website. Those limits are on purpose: the money belongs to the nonprofit, and nobody else should be able to touch it.

  • We can’t issue refunds on an organization’s behalf.
  • We can’t see or change your card details.
  • We can’t move money out of an organization’s account.
Common questions

Refund FAQ

Can I get a refund on my raffle tickets?

Raffle ticket purchases are final. The main exception is a cancelled raffle, and the organization that ran the raffle handles that refund.

I didn’t win. Can I get my money back?

No. Your purchase was support for the organization’s cause first, and the prize was the bonus. Your ticket had its fair chance in the drawing, so not winning isn’t grounds for a refund.

Who do I contact about a refund?

The nonprofit that ran the raffle. Its contact details are on the raffle page and in your confirmation email.

Can Chance2Win refund my raffle tickets?

No. Chance2Win provides the website the organization uses to run its own raffle. Your payment went to the organization’s merchant account, so only the organization can issue a refund.

If my tickets are refunded, is the service charge refunded too?

Yes. A refund covers the ticket price and the service charge you paid at checkout.

If my tickets are refunded, am I still in the drawing?

No. A refunded ticket is removed from the drawing and its number goes back into the pool.
