This is Section 1, it’s required, and it defines your event’s identity. Five minutes here and the bones of your raffle are in place.

What you’ll fill in #
- Event Name — this becomes your public page title, so make it the thing people would actually search for: “Sunrise Fire Dept 2026 Truck Raffle,” not “Fundraiser Q3.”
- Event Start Date and End Date — these control what’s displayed on your site. Heads-up: if you need to change the actual ticket-sale start/stop times (not just what’s shown), that’s a quick call to support.
- Event Description — the pitch that appears right above the ticket-selection area. A few honest sentences about the cause does more than a wall of text.
Pro tip. Write the description like you’re telling a neighbor why this matters. “Every ticket helps us replace 20-year-old rescue gear” beats “Please support our annual campaign” every time.
Reality check. Your public page title is built from the Event Name. Changing it later can shift your URL and any links you’ve already shared, so get it right before you start promoting.
