Section 3 is required, and it’s the one people want to skip and absolutely shouldn’t. Your rules protect your organization, keep you compliant, and — genuinely — make buyers trust the page more. Clear rules read as “these folks know what they’re doing.”

What good rules cover #
Type or paste your rules into the rich-text box. A solid set usually covers:
- Who’s eligible — age and residency requirements
- Start and end dates, and the drawing date
- How winners are chosen
- Prize details — value, and pickup or delivery
- Tax and title obligations on high-value prizes
- Any free-entry method your state requires
- How the money raised will be used
Reality check. Raffle law is set at the state (and sometimes county) level, and it varies a lot — free-entry methods, prize caps, and registration rules are not the same everywhere. When in doubt, check your local rules or talk to someone who knows them. See our Raffle Laws by State guide for a starting point.
Pro tip. This section can be owned by a different person than the rest of your setup. If you’ve got a board member or attorney who handles compliance, hand them just this one — they can work it independently.
Rules in? Save & Continue moves you to Section 4: Tickets & Pricing.
